Saying bye to summer is hard. Looking good while doing it makes it a bit easier. I love wearing stretchy denim with pretty tops as we transition from summer to fall. Anthropologie sent me the perfect look.

September is usually the month wear it’s time to slowly but surely start switching your summer separates for fall pieces. The air is a little more crisp in the morning and evening and there’s a cool breeze that blows throughout the day to remind you that the seasons are changing.
I’ll be honest, though. We haven’t felt the change here in Atlanta quite yet.
That change usually comes in October here in the South. Right now, it’s 85 degrees and the breeze is still noticeably thick and warm making you wonder if it’s July or September. However, when that change in the weather comes, it hits you like a ton of 60 degree bricks that you weren’t prepared for.
When it comes to transitional style, skinny jeans are my go to like these Mother The Stunner Ankle Step Fray High Rise Skinny Jeans from Anthropologie. Skinny denim go with anything from lace and satin tank tops to long sleeve button ups with a sweater vest on top. This Moth Poplin Layered Pullover from Anthropologie is everything. It’s light enough to wear on a warm day (because it’s one piece) but warm enough for cool autumn days. My favorite part of this top? The sleeves. The volume of the sleeves are unexpected yet welcomed by the rest of the look. And how cute are these sunnies? Tortoise shell frames will always be my go to.
How do you get your wardrobe ready from summer to fall? What are your go to pieces?
